Meditation Symphony 12 draws subtle inspiration from a Western, new frontier aesthetic, though its characters and symbolic elements drift playfully beyond that theme. This tension between structure and imagination gives the work a quietly surreal quality.
At its centre sits a vase inspired by Disney characters, introducing a sense of novelty and lighthearted whimsy. This playful focal point is balanced by the symmetry of the overall composition, a defining feature of the Meditation Symphony series.
Near the base, two horse-drawn carriages create a moment reminiscent of a painted scene, grounding the artwork with a narrative vignette that invites closer inspection. Throughout the piece, layers of texture unfold. There are watercolour washes, delicate pencil sketches of flowers, and recycled wallpaper patterns, all scanned and reworked digitally. These elements build a tactile surface that reflects both process and memory.
