Inner Worlds: The Patterns
Patterns are stitched into the fabric of my life – quite literally. I wear them, I collect them, I record them. Whether it’s a crumbling mosaic spotted on holiday or the weave of a vintage scarf from a local charity shop, I see patterns as stories waiting to be told. For me, they’re a form of visual diary with each one holding a memory, a mood, or a moment of inspiration.
The Inner Worlds collection brings together eight original patterns, each with its own quiet narrative. Fantangle Garden, for example, began after a trip to the Lake District, where I visited Beatrix Potter’s home. Her walls were dressed in William Morris wallpaper, and I came away dreaming of how I could weave my own version which emerged as a garden of tangled forms and whimsical delight.
Then there’s Ladies & Their Cats, which started on a day where I simply wanted to play. I wandered through local charity shops, open to whatever sparked joy. That sense of light-hearted exploration found its way into the design. The final pattern took shape as celebration of feminine characters, feline companions, and the beauty of everyday finds.
These patterns are more than surface decoration – they’re inward reflections, outward expressions, and touchstones to memory. Inner Worlds pattern archive invites you to get lost in the details, and perhaps find joy and curious intrigue as I did while I was creating them.
